The St. Helens First Missionary Baptist Church was organized July 12, 1936 A.D. by the authority of the Antioch Baptist Church of Portland, Oregon, with Elder J.W. Black as the first Pastor- St. Helens FMBC minutes.
The Antioch Baptist Church of Portland, Oregon was organized on July 20, 1924. J.T. Moore was the Missionary sent out by the Cloverdale Baptist Church, of Cloverdale, Oregon formally the First Nestucca Bay Baptist Church.
The Cloverdale Baptist Church (formally The First Nestucca Bay Baptist Church) was organized by the Mount Hebo Baptist Church on Saturday before the 2nd Sunday, April 10, 1897.
The Mount Hebo Baptist Church is believed to be organized by the Philadelphia Association. A Church authority that included churches in Arkansas and can be traced back through history to the Philadelphia Association. Sometime after 987 A.D. ,H.
