Candlestick was placed within the tabernacle on the south wall, opposite the table of showbread.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n- The gold represents the deity of God, the oil represents the Holy Spirit, and the light represents God and the Word of God (Psalm 119:105<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
- The total of the bowls, knops, and flowers is 66 (66 books of the Bible).<\/li>\n
- 22 Knops = swelling beneath each flower<\/li>\n
- 22 flowers with 5 petals<\/li>\n
- 22 bowls (like almonds)<\/li>\n
- Each of the 6 branches had 9 knops, flowers, and bowls (54)<\/li>\n
- The stem had 4 knops, flowers, and bowls (12 = government. The candlestick was to govern or light the Tabernacle, and today the Church).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Exodus 25:39<\/strong> Candlestick and the tools were made of a talent of gold.\u00a0 This is over 100 pounds (millions of dollars).<\/p>\nExodus 27:20<\/strong> Pure olive oil was used to burn in the 7 lamps. The oil represents the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Made of pure beaten gold<\/h2>\nA type of Christ\u2019s sufferings<\/h3>\n\n- Isaiah 50:6; 52:14; 53:2-12<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Matthew 26:67; 27:26-35<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Acts 26:23<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

It was constructed with three branches on one side and three branches on the other, with a shaft in the center.<\/h2>\n
The stand is a type of the church with Jesus at it\u2019s center.<\/p>\n
Christ in the midst of His Churches<\/h3>\n\n- Matthew 18:20; 28:20<\/strong>\u00a0 Jesus is with an assembled Church.<\/li>\n
- John 15:5<\/strong>\u00a0 Churches (branches) cannot exist without the Vine (Jesus).<\/li>\n
- Revelation 1:10-13, 20<\/strong> God was with the Churches (7 candlesticks), in their midst.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
There were six branches reaching out, reaching for man<\/h3>\n\n- 2 Corinthians 4:6<\/strong> The light we have is from God<\/li>\n
- Matt 5:14-16<\/strong> We are to let that light shine by sharing the gospel, living and acting like Jesus in this dark world.<\/li>\n
- Isaiah 11:1<\/strong> Jesus called the Branch<\/li>\n
- Isaiah 53:2<\/strong> Jesus called a tender plant, a root out of a dry ground (life coming into a dried dead place, this world, reaching for man).<\/li>\n
- John 15:1-8<\/strong> Jesus is the vine, we are the branches or shoots off of the vine that need the vine or trunk to give us life so we can produce fruit.<\/li>\n
- Jeremiah 1:11-12<\/strong> Each bowl, knop, and flower were opened almond blossoms with 5 petals each – showing new life.<\/li>\n
- 2 Timothy 1:10<\/strong> Jesus abolishes death, brings new life.<\/li>\n
- Numbers 17:1-11<\/strong> Aaron\u2019s rod was an almond rod and bloomed, life brought from a dead branch (like we are until salvation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The candlestick had vessels (tools)<\/h3>\n\n- Tongs, or tweezers, to trim the wicks<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\n- Numbers 4:9<\/strong>\u00a0 Tools used<\/li>\n
- Exodus 27:20-21<\/strong> evening and morning<\/li>\n
- Exodus 30:7-8<\/strong> Aaron trimmed wicks morning and evening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- We are vessels in the Church<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

- We need to trim our wicks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The candlestick was to be placed in the sanctuary<\/h2>\n

The candlestick was for the light in the sanctuary<\/h3>\n
Exodus 35:14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Natural light was excluded, only God\u2019s light was present<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\n- 1 John 1:5-7<\/strong> Priests were to only walk in God\u2019s light, not the light from the world.<\/li>\n
- John 8:12<\/strong> fellowship with God requires we walk in His light.<\/li>\n
- Psalm 36:9 <\/strong>Light of God is how we see.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- If there was no Biblical light, by what standard would we live and serve?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

The seven lamps<\/h2>\nWere placed upon the seven prongs of the candlestick (lamp stand)<\/h3>\n\n- The Bible is our all sufficient rule of faith and practice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

The lamps were to burn continually<\/h3>\n\n- Exodus 27:20-21<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Lev 24:1-4 <\/strong><\/li>\n
- Numbers 8:2-4<\/strong>\u00a0 At consecration of Levites, part of Tabernacle start-up, they were lit and to never go out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- When the lamps go out, the glory is departed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

The oil in the seven lamps represent the seven spirits of God<\/h2>\n\n- Isaiah 11:2<\/strong> (Spirit of God, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, fear of the Lord)<\/li>\n

- Jesus Christ had all seven of these<\/li>\n
- Psalm 119:105<\/strong> The Word is the light on our path (John 1:1-5, 14<\/strong>) The Light shining in darkness (this world).<\/li>\n
- John 8:12<\/strong> The light of the world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

When on the march, the candlestick was covered with blue (Heaven) and badger skin (plain, despised, and rejected)<\/h2>\n\n- Numbers 4:9-10 <\/strong><\/li>\n
- Isaiah 53:2-3 <\/strong>Badger skin pictures how Jesus was seen by the world, looked upon.<\/li>\n
- The world sees not the Holy Spirit or Christ<\/li>\n
- John 14:17<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Christ is hidden from the world<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\n- 2 Corinthians 4:4<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- The light was enjoyed only by the priestly family<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\n- The outside world had no clue about that beautiful light within the Tabernacle just as the world does not see the beauty of God and Comforter within His Church.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The lighted lamps revealed the beautiful workmanship of the lamp stand<\/h2>\n
