- In order to understand God and God’s ways, we must look into the Bible
Is. 29:13 Fear toward me is taught by the precept of man
- To worship and serve God, it must be God’s way
- Not according to our understanding, but God’s
- I’ve heard that there is not enough teaching on Christ and too much on the Lord’s N.T. Church.
- That we’re teaching people to worship the church and not Christ.
- Those that believe that do not have a clear understanding of the Lord and his N.T. church.
- You cannot separate Christ and his N.T. church. You cannot teach using the Bible about one and not the other.
- The tabernacle is the key to understanding Christ and his N.T. church
1. Every doctrine in the Bible is found in the Tabernacle.
2. Cannot understand Old Testament or New Testament without the Tabernacle.
3. When we get messed up on doctrine and teaching of God’s Word, it’s because of not understanding the tabernacle.
4. The tabernacle is or shows a type of Christ also a type of N.T. church.
Ex. 25:1,2,8,9 Let them make me a sanctuary
- Sanctuary = dwelling place
- The Lord desired a dwelling place that he might dwell among his people.
- That they might have a place to worship him.
Within the Tabernacle Proper is the Lamp Stand or Golden Candlestick
- Beaten from one piece of solid gold; gold represents diety
- Type of Christ’s crucifiction
- Type of the Word of God = 66 parts to the candlestick; 66 books of the Bible
- Type of Holy Spirit = oil flowing
- Candlestick is the only light inside; Christ is the only light, John 8:12
- Word of God is the only rule of faith a practice
Rev. 1:12-20, John saw Christ in the midst of the candlestick
Golden Altar (Altar of Incense)
- Only redeemed of God can worship God; the lost cannot, place prayer within a N.T. church
- Only priest can enter into the sanctuary, Rev. 1:4-6. Christ makes us N.T. church members kings and priests.

After the Tabernacle was built, God spoke to his people out of the Tabernacle. Today God speaks to his people only through his N.T. church

- There is a tabernacle that the lord pitched and not man.
- It served for an example of things to come.

- Who built the Lord’s N.T. church? Jesus Christ during his personal ministry.
- Do you want to give God glory (praise, adoration, exaltation), can only do that in and through a N.T. church.
Rom. 16:27 To God only wise be glory, through Jesus Christ.
- To give God glory, to worship God, a person must go though Jesus Christ. Man shouldn’t worship the church, but can only worship God through a N.T. church.

- Christ is praying to the Father, speaking of his N.T. church.
- Christ is glorified only through his N.T. church.
John 13:31 Now is the Son of Man glorified
- Judas has left- Lord’s Supper is then initiated. Christ speaking of his N.T. church.

- Verse 1 speaking to N.T. church. Saints represent N.T. church members.
- Coming for saints and all saved / Glorified in saints, admired by believers
- Is Christ in the Lord’s church?
- Christ cannot be separated from his N.T. church.

- Peter did say you lied to men, but it’s OK with the Lord?
- Verses 4, 9 – You lied to God. The original lie was to the church at Jerusalem.
- Cannot separate Christ and His church.

- Despiseth – to go against a N.T. church that teaches truth, invites God’s judgment.
- Actions speak louder than words. Say they have no problem, but actions say otherwise.

- Saul was after people. He was after the church those people were in.
- The Lord asked, Why do you persecute me?
- Christ and his N.T. church cannot be separated.
- Christ is throughout his N.T. church / Because of the candlestick

- Christ made a blood covenant with his N.T. church.
- The Lord sanctified his N.T. church by his blood on the cross.

- Can only labor with Christ in and through a N.T. church.
- Verses 16 and 17, Temple meaning church.
- Man defiles the temple of God – God destroys that person.
Eph. 1:20-23 Christ is the Head of the N.T. Church
- N.T. church is referred to as a body.
- Christ is the Head of that body.

- If Christ is the Corner Stone then Christ must be throughout all the teaching, doctrines, etc…
Eph. 3:1-21 Eternal purpose in Christ Jesus
- Cannot fully grasp the love of Christ outside a N.T. church.
- Verse 10, Church must grasp the manifold wisdom of God.
- Cannot separate teaching just about Christ and just about N.T. church and still be true to God’s word / Mystery of Christ hid in the N.T. church.
Eph. 4:13-16 Which is the Head, Christ
- Verse 14, Be no more children – people need to stop taking other’s opinion and begin to rightly divide the Bible.
- Verse 16, Body: A N.T. church is put together by the Lord, built by the Lord, with Christ being the Head.
Eph. 5:23-27, 32 Christ is the Head of a N.T. church
- Those faithful with the heart are what make up the local, visible, Bride of Christ.
- Christ is particular about his Bride, so should we be.
- Christ loves his N.T. Bride.
Col. 1:11-18 He is the Head of the Body, the Church
- We are saved by his redeeming blood.
- All things created for Him and by Him.
- Christ is the head of the Church; Christ has the preeminence in His Church.
- To say when you teach or too much teaching on the church, Christ is left out—where?
Col. 1:19-29 Christ preeminence in the Church
- It was the work of Christ on the cross that saves our soul.
- It is the work of Christ through his N.T. church that makes it special.
- The N.T. church is a mystery to the lost, a mystery to just saved.
- The mystery is and has only been revealed to his saints, his N.T. church members.
Col. 2:4-10 Beware lest any man spoil
I Tim. 3:15 The House of God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth
- N.T. church is the house of God.
- There is a code of conduct found in the scriptures that we must live by.
I Tim. 2:4 All men to be Saved, and come to the Knowledge of the Truth
- Verse 3, God our Savior; all men to be saved.
- Come unto the knowledge of the Truth.
- Knowledge of the Truth is only found in a N.T. Church.
Heb. 3:1-6 He hath builded the House; Hath more Honor than the House
- Christ is greater than his N.T. church; Christ built his church.
- Verse 6, not to just saved Jews, but Jews who are N.T. church members.
- Even if one wanted to, Christ cannot be taken out of his N.T. church.
- We need to learn to appreciate the Lord in His New Testament Church.
